New building EDITION M10
We built EDITION M10 in the immediate vicinity of the Castle of Nymphenburg, one of the most privileged and sought-after residential areas in Munich. The high-quality multi-family villa features five residential units and is characterized by a sophisticated architectural style that interprets the BAUHAUS concept in a contemporary way. In addition to generously proportioned living areas with room-high glazing, we realized an intelligent light design, setting the scene for the overall concept both inside and out.
Combining a high-class environment and historico-cultural flair, Nymphenburg is one of the most exclusive housing areas in Munich. In the heart of this neighborhood, history meets modern art of construction.
The center of Nymphenburg features a jewel of baroque architecture: Nymphenburg Palace and its adjacent gardens, which used to serve as summer residence of the Bavarian rulers, the house of Wittelsbach, until the 20th century. The palace park with its old tree population, the various fountains and water routes, the idyllic botanical garden or the magnificent pavilions still invite both locals and visitors for extended and refreshing walks in this privileged district.
Right next door, only a few hundrets of meters away from the northern crescent of the baroque palace, German property developer H-I-M Villenbau realized a modern mansion in architectural BAUHAUS style. The elegant housing complex consists of five units, including spacy garden apartments and Maisonette apartments with extensive rooftop terraces that provide a view on the nearby recreation area.
Following the principles of classical BAUHAUS architecture, H-I-M Villenbau combines classy design with intelligent materials and functionality. The mansion features an individual floor plan design as well as large and bright rooms with ceiling heights from 2.70 meter to 3.0 meter. Flexible, room-high window elements fluently connect the interior with the green and open outdoor area.
At the same time, the property developer focuses on ecological efficiency, using forward-looking technologies that intelligently serve their purpose. For example, it not only implemented perfectly isolated exterior walls, roof and windows. It also installed a highly-efficient high-performance water/water heat pump that generates heat directly from the groundwater and hence runs on minimal heating costs while being clear of fossil-fired power plants and producing no exhaust gases.
A perfect symbiosis between modern architecture and state-of-the art building technologies – erected only a stone’s throw away from one of Bavaria’s most important historic landmarks that shaped the construction style of its time.
